Have been researching how many homes in Australia are owned by foreign investors For the year 2017 results of approximately 400,000 were foreign owned according to ANZ, avg 15-20% buying new buildings,many appeard to remain vacant.Have not found latest results and the laws may have changed since 2017.
According to 2021 census one in ten homes were unoccupied.
