Lactalis (Parmalat) have just announced that they have purchased the Harvey Fresh business in WA.
That is one less Australian Dairy business left to buy, making the takeover of Bega that much more inevitable.
I have no doubt there will be a few multinationals (including local companies)doing the numbers on a takeover, and soon.
I'm not too sure there is much in the way of a large business left to buy, other than maybe an operation in Tasmania.
Maybe others with an intimate knowledge of the industry can provide additional information.
