The conversation would've gone something like this...
KPO - "Hi Hartleys, we've noticed you're selling a lot of stock lately."
HARTLEYS - "Yes, that's right."
KPO - "Well, we have a couple of interested parties looking to take up a sizeable position in KPO at X price. Would you be willing to broker an off-market transfer?"
HARTLEYS - "Sure. That sounds reasonable. Give us their details and we'll take care of the rest!"
And there you have it. Problem solved with a 5 minute phone call. Plenty of time for Management to done their hi-vis vests and get back to 'building' the Hainan plant!!!
