I guess that makes sense? Like hypothetical - in a deceased estate, let's say Freddy passes away, with three beneficiaries, the three children, Bob, Sally and George.
George owed Freddy $60grand before Freddy's passing.
But because George is a beneficiary, and would get a third of it anyway, he would technically just need to pay the 40grand as the 20grand would come back to him regardless.
A bit of reverse logic but it passes the pub test for me
