Agree it is at this stage conjecture, but imho there are too many pieces that fit for it to be worthless. All I'm doing is sharing a thought process. Time will tell if there's any fire beneath the smoke. I'm not sure I share the view that we should/would be in the mix for deep water exploration - we just don't have the balance sheet for it I.e. only 20% of what shell spent on palta would have been some $30m (from memory). Not that really would kill us.
