A couple of informative articles I have just come across. The articles name two companies that compete in the same space as Appen. Clickworker with a crowd at similar size, and an Indian company, Playment, which has a crowd of 250,000. Eric Schmidt's (chairman of Alphabet) opinion of this corner of the AI space is also covered.
