TENEX Expects to Sign US$1 Billion in US Uranium Contract
Techsnabexport, Russias state-controlled uranium trader, will reportedly sign at least three deals next year, worth approximately US$1 billion, to supply uranium directly to US utilities, according to state nuclear entity Rosatom.
In 2009 Techsnabexport achieved direct commercial supplies of uranium output to US utilities, having signed with them six contracts worth a total of around $3 billion. At least three such deals worth around $1 billion [should] be signed in 2010, said Atomenergoprom, the civilian nuclear arm of Rosatom.
