People with different preconceptions are going to read the "news" in the UK Law Gazette differently.

I read it as incomplete and messy, lots of speculation about possible closures but no definite plan. It's a leak of rumours rather than a clear management plan. I think staff reading it would be alarmed. A lot more coherent detail is required.

As far as NIHL goes, the story reports most of the operation shutting down. This is not good news if expecting NIHL make a meaningful or any contribution. Sounds like they have given up already after only few more months on most of NIHL, maybe all. Doesn't surprise me -but this giving up even a bit sooner than I expected.

My guesstimates 10/90 are over 2016. Long way to go. The point being that even attempts at restructure damage morale productivity / talent clients in white collar firm deep in debt - and financial forecasts keep moving - and this dynamic against them
