That's where you are wrong. The money has been pocketed indirectly by politicians.

Using TAXPAYER money to get yourself elected is stealing. To go AGAINST the merit based independent assessment to get yourself elected is stealing. To ignore the documented guidelines of the funding scheme is corruption and to tell the electorate and parliament that no grants given were ineligible is just more lies and deceit that we come to expect from Liberal leaders.

No I don't think the electorate are stupid. But I do think the government thinks that they are.
