There's little doubt about the veracity of the article. What is confronting is the extent of lies and deceit espoused by politicians simply to benefit themselves and is clearly a reflection of their opinion of the electorate.
I concur that partisanship is moulded to the extent of blind deference but its exploitation is morally reprehensible and underscores the abuse of trust. In the race to the bottom, politics in Australia has degenerated where reprobates now peddle their duplicitous narrative without punitive recourse.
