My company at a recent meeting made the decision to increase prices by 5% to cover the cost burden of the carbon tax and add too company profit in order to please shareholders, i am certain that most other companies will act in a similar manner if they believe the market will not be adverse to the increase, our responsibility is primarily to our shareholders it is only they who we must answer too, what the government believes or wants is of little concern to us.
