Jeez moondoong, google carbon tax and have a read. As price of tax increases so does the incentive to swap to a lower emmissions intensive supplier.
So the emmissions intensive companies are now in a race to create low emmissions energy. The winner is assured viability. Shareholders of the losers won't be happy with management.
As the population is increasing there is all the more reason to act now. Bit like compound interest. The earlier you start the easier it is.
