With a deal to close the final detention centres and potentially move those asylum seekers to the US, only the Greens could be so idiotic to oppose this.

"Labor welcomed news of a potential resettlement deal, saying asylum-seekers had suffered from indefinite detention. “If there is a deal on the cards and you can get those people off Manus and Nauru to the US and anywhere else, it would be a fantastic result,” opposition immigration spokesman Richard Marles told Sky News.
The Greens’ immigration spokesman, Nick McKim, said Australia should not send refugees to the US because of the election of Mr Trump.
“Who, in good conscience, could send refugees to Donald Trump’s America? We’ve already seen reports of race-based violence since (his) election.”
