So what was the action taken by Howard that was over and above the "Pacific Solution" that had already been legislated?
By the end of Howard's rule there were virtually NO boats arriving on Australia's shores. By the end of Gillard/Rudd rule the number of boats arriving are completely out of control. You work it out.
And who should apologise first, Rudd or Howard?
Apologies are meaningless. People don't care for apologies, especially if you're then going to do nothing about it.
