more news on mississippi oil play

holders, a while back put up an article about Eagle Energy selling acres in this play, this is nearing the end of the tender process, Scotia Waterous are working on this deal and have just found an article released by this company from last month here that has a fairly good write up on the Mississippian Oil play, RFE even get a mention right at the bottom.

Also mentioned is the Chesapeake deal for basically 21000 acres( our current acreage) at $12000 an acre. also mentioned is the LOW RISK with this play.

Probably some of the initial concerns voiced back in December are also touched on relating to location.

The play started off in Alfalfa and Woods county but is definitely spreading. The Mississippian has been drilled for 50 years, including in Noble County were our first well will be drilled, the data Perry and David looked over to decide acreage targets will make this area a low risk target with high rewards but best of all, not being in those 2 counties previously mentioned, the price per acre initially would have been right.

Have heard that acreage is increasing in cost already, can only be a good thing without sticking the drill bit into the ground. Oil prices increasing will only further increase RFEs appeal.

Of course, not to harp on too much, funding is crucial.
