President Paul Biya grants audience to Mbalam iron ore investors 27/04/2012 The five man delegation was lead by the Chairman of the Australian Company, Sundance Resources Limited, which is working in partnership with Cam Iron S.A for the exploitation of iron ore in Mbalam.
Chairman George Jones and his co-investors had come to brief Cameroon’s Chief Executive, Paul Biya on the advancement of the project.
After the audience, the delegation faced the press and indicated that President Paul Biya had expressed the wish to see the project executed as soon as possible. They also indicated that the Head of State has promised to support the endeavor whenever it becomes necessary.
It is worth indication that the different parties involved in the project shall sign a mining convention in August 2012. Thereafter, investments for the implementation of the project shall follow before the effective beginning of exploitation earmarked within the first three months of 2013.
