''The climate has changed for blillions of years and life has changed and adapted ''
yes it has ------------------- and if you look at this tree of life --------- what do you notice?
what I notice is this -------- after a large round branching out ----------
all of a sudden --------- it gets pruned right back to a few thin vertical growing bits again
the bits that do not survive ------------- STOP ABRUPTLY
now - think about this ----------- of all the species in any time that got a bit of a go on -
humans are now - the most vulnerable of all --- think about what we depend on for our survival today in our 'way of life'
we don't just depend on air, food, water, shelter etc - we are totally dependant on power, now internet ------------ god knows what
we have engineered ourselves to be in numbers which are very high, using resources to the extreme, polluting the planet like no other life form ever has -
and one look at that diagram shows mammals as they are - and we, the mammal are the biggest abuser of all
now - we can sit back and say - nothing is happening, everything is the same -
but, if we do that - we do that in total ignorance - because what HAS happened before -
is a massive pruning of species - when conditions change ---------
that diagram to me suggests that at some stage - the planet got pissed off with things -
and went and got the secateurs, and by the looks of it - after having many glasses of wine
the lesson --------------- don't piss off the planet
