    Going to stick my neck out and postulate that ELK will purchase ConocoPhillips 46% of Madden either outright or as a JV with Moncrief.

    ConocoPhillips are selling assets specifically to reduce their exposure to US gas

    and ELK have made no secret of their desire to buy more.

    Could be the reason COP have been so engaging since ElK have come on board.

    Just stirring the pot but lets see.
