Nimby,if you are taking this womans rant as cold hard fact,which it seems you are,you'd be up in arms about open cut coal mines and all the methane that is escaping from them with no attempt to capture any of it? Why prolong their use if you feel that the methane from them is so damaging. CSG is a closed system and the best OH&S standards are used to make it safe.
What is wrong with measures to make sure that there are no injuries incurred by workers at these sites? Why would you or anyone else have a problem with that? Seems like common sense or lack thereof.
Regarding the aspect of OH&S at the CSG well sites where naked flame is banned it seems you have a problem with safe working practices as well? Cows omit the same stuff. Did you know that?
Judging by what happened at Benteley and the illegal structures and vandalising of private property and harassment of a farmer and his family you and your Greeny mates pose a big threat to the people around you with this reckless behaviour and attitude.
Take a step back and look at the big picture.
Academics,the Govt and laws of the land are trying to make a safer and cleaner environment in spite of the anarchistic movement in NR rivers who seem hell bent on making it more dangerous and polluted.
In the end it's been a conventional-non CSG well that has been targeted by you and your mates and has the Govt in the hot seat because of it's act of avoiding open war declared by the likes of AR and other activist types that whipped their followers up into a frenzy......over a conventional gas well.
