WES are in the business of creating shareholder value, full stop. I don't think they think they're particularly good in any one specific industry. More to the point, they identify opportunities (such as Coles) and apply smarts to extract value. Granted, the concept of logical incrementalism may have played some part in the Coles acquisition, but I doubt they bought it purely because they assumed that they are the lords of retail.
