'Oil Search announces first production from SE Mananda

Sydney - Tuesday - March 28: (RWE Aust Business News) - Oil Search Ltd (ASX:OSH) has first production from the SE Mananda field, PNG.
Oil is coming from one well with a three further wells to be tied into the system over the next two months.
Production rates are expected to rise to up to 7,000 bopd.
The SE Mananda project is the company's first operated oil development, managing director Peter Botten said.
He said the construction was a major engineering achievement with the laying of pipeline over extremely rugged jungle terrain.
The final development cost is estimated at around $US145m. '
