I'm near unto being an octogenarian, but what you may be inferring here is hugely worrying. This is the first I can recall of reading about such an old, but perhaps still enforceable contract between these companies. What worries me even more is that such "ground breaking news" should appear on this forum. Whether it is true or mistaken, you have alerted everybody to the possibility. This could start another deluge of "informed" comment from the white hats and the black hats.
At the risk of overloading the in-box of, say, the share holders association, perhaps "new" information as this could be better utilised by sharing it, in some way, off-line.
