xMap (see above) is one (of several) of Luminex multiplexing machines. So digging in Luminex Annual Reports reveals these placement numbers for Luminex systems that are able to do multiplex assays.
2010 – 7700 total systems
2011 – 8678 systems
2012 - total multiplexing analyzer sales since inception to 9,659 as of December 31
2013 - total multiplexing analyzer sales since inception to 10,737 as of December 31
2014 - cumulative life to-date multiplexing analyzer shipments of 11,687
This is a growth rate of about 1000 machines per year for 5 years in a row(2010 thru 2014 inclusive). Each machine representing a potential customer for the Luminex/Mix&Go product.
This appears to be a very solid introduction into revenue flow. I'm liking this more and more.
