Wavenet International Ltd today announced it had received its largest
single order to date, worth $1.8 million.
The order for BM3 wireless modems is from Velocita Wireless
(formerly Cingular Wireless), the Mobitex Operator in the US.
Deliveries are scheduled for the 2005 financial year with a
significant portion of the order going to support the growing automatic
vehicle location market.
"We are extremely pleased by the ongoing business from Velocita
Wireless, who we see as a key strategic partner in engaging wireless
customers in the USA.
"This order underpins our status as one of the leading suppliers
of wireless modems and provides a solid foundation for our expansion
into other markets going forward," said Wavenet CEO Mr Steve Metlitzky.
Shares in Wavenet were untraded at 17c today.
