It would be safer to BUY puts than write naked call options.
Why
Because you profit on writing naked puts is limited & fixed to the premium you receive.
But your risk is unlimited.
By buying puts.... Your loss is limited to the premium, but you potential profit is unlimited.
Or are you getting confused and you are not
WRITING naked calls.
