To some extent it is known where the economic gold is. It's down on 19l, the v-floor and ample drill assays exist in that area from the WMC days. Over 200 hits at 40+g/t. I think the last page of the 2009 annual report shows those hits from memory.
What would the cost be to dewater and refurbish the shaft down to that level? 20 or 30 mil? What price would gold have to get to for that to tempt someone to tip that sort of coin in?
I still think the other prospects that were only worked to shallow depths could be a better bet with a thorough, targeted drill campaign. This was never done, I suppose they were waiting for the Star to return enough to do that.
