re: john pilger is a traitor Oh, I forgot - if you hover your cursor over the "Australia" link on the website - http://pilger.carlton.com/australia - on the page with the heading - The Secret Shame Behind The Sydney Olympics - it reveals the following statement:
"In a sports-mad nation, many of the greatest performers are aboriginal. This section exposes a secret & shameful past in which Aborigines were denied the right to represent their country simply because of their ethnic origin."
What it conveniently fails to inform the reader, is the fact that there were at least 12 Aboriginal Australians competing at the Sydney Olympics - that I would say would be a reasonable representation of aboriginals in relation to the percentage of Australians that are aboriginal.
Those Aboriginal athletes competing at the Sydney Olympics were:
