Of course it suits the likes of the left and particularly the bitter Turnbull to use this to denigrate Porter. This is also evident with many here on HC that will use anything possible to throw dirt at the Government.

If Porter was so innocent then why did he withdraw the action against ABC and not receive any compensation or legal cost rulings? Porter lost that legal challenge good and proper, but tried to save face by making out ABC caved. Even sleepy Scomo said yesterday that he's going to get advice on the legalities of Porters fees being partly paid by a mystery trust fund. Then again if the fund was backed by tax payer money then this will probably be the end of sleepy Scomo as well. Labor needs to throw all they have at this to reveal the identity of that trust fund.
