as for mortgage stress it has nothing to do with the govt these days (since Morrison lost the election). so whats your point?

My point is that the current government has done nothing to bring down interest rates which has led to serious mortgage stress for many million Australians. This denotes a lack of love or empathy (rather than hate) for the people they represent and the last budget is testament to this fiscal irresponsibility which seems to follow the ALP around like farts at a bean festival

This has all to do with the OP but must make you uncomfortable as you cannot defend it

I must admit it must be hard to defend the ALP in these difficult times
