how do we end up in a situation that a custodian can loan out our stock without our permission [and earn a fee] to a hedge fund that just destroys the stock price????????????????? Where is the disclosure? Must people would be totally unaware that they are indirectly destroying their own share value. This is boarder line criminal and the market is completely uninformed at all levels. Can you imagine just how massive this is? can you imagine how many shares are short in BHP using this same lack of regulation? the ASX already has a conflict of interest being listed on its own exchange as it is perhaps???? like to see it listed in London and shorted into the ground like they have let other companies do. its a joke. The ASX gets a fee on all this stock being sold and bought back and that's the only reason they turn a blind eye to it????????? Just how many shares are on issue in FMG then???? 10% more than is actually quoted?????????????? Twiggy made it public a while back that he thought his stock was being shorted hard and now he is putting the vice on their heads to buy it back.Hope they get destroyed and send it to $12 to buy it back.dyor.
