Yes, Onslow is mooted as the hub for a major oil and gas facility, and would include a fairly large port.... Did you know Onslow was the most southern town bombed by the Japanese during ww2? Imagine how long they would have flown just to bomb a tiny little outpost.

Dampier port planning for Onslow

The Dampier Port Authority has begun its role in the planning of an industrial estate at Onslow.
It appears Onslow is one of the next development spots in terms of oil and gas ventures for companies like Chevron and BHP Billiton.
Port CEO, Steve Lewis, says it is the job of the Dampier Port Authority to make sure the port established to service these ventures is up to scratch.
"If everybody comes that's talking of coming it's really going to be at least a 25 million tonne a year operation for LNG products and that's a massive facility to have on our west coast."
