Why does he continually say that many of these issues are unexpected? He still sticks to his story about a pick up in growth 'soon'. What, with this huge over-capacity in the stuttering US economy? At the same time the price of oil increases, credit ratings drop, unemployment shows no heartbeat after the defibrillation of QE1&2, housing falls further into the abyss. I don't have any high falutin economic credentials, but even blind bnanky can surely see that after all the bright ideas from the federal reserve, steep inflation, possibly of the hyper type may be the biggest "surprise" just around the corner.
