    If you scrutinize the level of bias that is evident in the media - and by that I mean anyone who has anything to do with the media - you will find that the lean to the "yes" is quite evident.

    Keep in mind that most sports these days are at the mercy of the media dollar - what they say goes - and I don't think the NRL or AFL would have gone out on a limb if their respective media lords and masters had not sanctioned it.

    The talking heads on TV are mainly leaning to the "yes" with the exception of the handful of shock jocks who just like to go against the grain.

    This whole business is being orchestrated by a few and played out by the masses to give them that ephemeral feeling of democracy.
    I don't think it is a coincidence that it is being played out during the "finals" period where the media reach and influence is at its highest.

    Its a bit like talking about horses in the first week of November - you are going to get plenty of attention.
