I don’t agree Mogga. You only have to look at the massive wonderful changes that have taken place over time. Serfs never used to get the vote and had to bow to the aristocrats of the past. Women use to treated as second class citizens without the vote. Religion used to preach fire and brimstone to keep the plebs in check while they hobnobbed with the aristocracies. Massive change for the better and that change will continue as we become even more so as evolution increases human kinds brain power and knowledge.

The average lifespan used to be very short but advances now save and prolong so many lives. Quality of life has improved .

Democracy and associated social changes underpin Western societies vast improvement in the peoples standard of living and freedoms and empowered them .

We are indeed fortunate to live in these times and as decent people want it to be even better for future generations. People power will ensure that happens.
