Key bits below. The company is excited enough to step up drilling.
Further high grade results from shallow drilling at Smarts:
Highlights include 14m @ 17.5 g/t Au (including 3m @
54.43g/t Au), 9m @ 8.6 g/t Au, 17m @ 1.88g/t Au, & 5m @
8.7 g/t Au
Highlights
First pass shallow reverse circulation scout drilling at the Smarts prospect has
returned further high grade mineralised intercepts. Previously the company
had reported assay results for a single hole, SRC009 which intersected 29
metres @ 14.3g/t Au, and results reported today include further outstanding
results such as SRC008 which intersected 14 metres @ 17.52 g/t Au from 42‐
56m, including 3m @ 54.3 g/t Au from 48‐51m and SRC006 which intersected
9m @ 8.57 g/t Au. Both holes are supported by other numerous mineralised
intercepts within a volume of approximately 150m strike, 150m width to a
vertical depth of 40m in the immediate vicinity of the Smarts bedrock artisinal
working.
Regional mapping in the Smarts anomaly area has revealed an artisinal working
which has exposed shear hosted mineralisation over a width of 80 metres
containing a 10 metre wide interval of intense quartz veining including a single
5 metre wide quartz clay breccia with visible gold in associated peripheral
veins. This working lies on strike from the area of drilling at Smarts and
extends the Smarts zone to a strike of at least 1200 metres.
The second reverse circulation rig arrived on site March 27, 2011 and has been
assigned to accelerate the scout drilling program at the Smarts prospect before
completing resource drilling at Hicks, after which it will commence resource
drilling at the Smarts prospect.
The Company has contracted a third multipurpose air core / RC / diamond rig
which is scheduled to arrive in country in May, 2011 and arrive on site in June
2011.
