Thanks for the post pat. What they did not mention was that 100% of these patients would have died anyway, had they not had the VAD implanted VCR's product or not! Just imagine IF (yes IF ) it was a perfect world and a suitable donor heart had become available for each of these patients, then these stat's would be blown out the window. (I did say a perfect world). But alas, as it is not a perfect world, then there will always be the cost of life or injury with the trialing of new methods, devices and drugs. When investing in new technology, you must weigh-up all this in the mix. In closing, I do agree that VCR are not the greatest in keeping the investor informed on a regular basis. (They dont even answer emails any more, do you Messers VCR.) - Just in case you're reading this.
