The opposition from landholders to CSG has been building for quite a while. Minister Robertson and DERM's actions against Cougar was imo, an attempt to distract, and confuse the masses from the CSG industry's environmental problems... Appease the multinationals and at the same time, try and appeal to the Courier Mail readers/green vote re Fed Election...Cunningly brilliant in the short term. The pollies and CSG definitely win the early rounds of battle, but the potential long term effects to the GAB and to 1000's of square km of farmland cannot be ignored...
