What makes you think that there has EVER been any skin irritation with the oxymorphone patch? Or, as is likely, are you just making this up as a hypothetical without a shred of evidence. In fact, I believe that if I do a search of the announcements I will find mention of the fact that no erythemia was noticed at the Oxym application sites.
