    The only time I’ve ever heard a wheat farmer not complain about rain, be it not enough, too much, to early, too late has been when they are sleeping

    Fishermen are no better, we are even more reliant on the fluctuations of our weather and one of my earliest memories of my granddad was him having a big whinge about winter being late by a month or two.
    I was peeved as well, May holiday highlight was heading inland and picking mushrooms.
    A late start to winter meant that when the rain arrived the ground was to cold for fungus to spread.
    He complained about that year till the end and the Cyclone Alby year was the other one, to much early rain and he said it cooked the spores due to the heat.
    Normal weather patterns are not the 4 seasons, normal weather is a n oxymoron

    With the $ numbers thrown around, we will never see this topic and politics as a separate issue.
