"More companies entered insolvency in the financial year just ended than in any previous year as rising costs and Labor’s attack on small businesses bite.
Under Labor essentials for running a business have become a major expense - electricity and gas have become a major expense – everything has gone up from food, internet and insurance.
What doesn’t help is Labor’s evolving red tape and industrial relations changes that are being slapped onto small businesses.
And it’s not just my opinion the evidence shows. Figures released this week by the corporate regulator show 14,105 businesses became insolvent in 2025 financial year, that’s a 26.8 per cent leap from the year before.
It’s very sad to see so many livelihoods lost and dreams crushed.
The government of the day should be supporting local businesses and industry – it’s great for local jobs and our economy!
