And to answer your question - if BMW lost its "image" - it wouldn't matter if it was discounted 30%, few Chinese will buy it, as their friends won't be driving around in it.
You should calm down and learn to read instead of having your head buried in the sand.
That's one of problems with many Western Companies in China - assumed too much - thinking what works in the West automatically works in China.
