I am Not sure whether you guys understand the Chinese mentality insofar as consumption of Western Goods.

The Chinese consumers are more concerned about the "Image" of the Western Goods they purchased.

They are more concern about what their neighbours, friends and colleagues are giving to their babies than they are about the finer details of the product - most don't even bother reading it.

This is the reason why they are prepared to pay a premium for Western made goods - they view it as better quality made goods when compared to the local brands (without even reading the details of each product).

Once the "Image" is lost or a better "Image" replaces it, the Chinese consumers (not in all cases) move onto the new product with the better image - its like a what you see with trendy products in Western countries.

The big question is whether BAL has lost its "Image" with the Chinese consumers and if it has, what marketing strategies it will apply to win it back.

    Any way, JMHO.
