Not pods...they form in formations as flat ribbons in effect, not unlike paleochannel deposits.
Grades appear to typcially drop off towards the outer zones of the aerial extent, increasing towards the more central and obviously concentrated water-flow zones? Depending on the shape of the strata, the "footprint can be anything from 50m to say 1km or more, length from 100m - 2 km...and thicknesses typcially limited to 1-5m.
Without the details however we are just guessing, but most deposits I have looked at in the region include relatively large low tonnage zones as a ratio to the high grade zones.
