I believe the move to electric vehicles are not significantly reliant on price of oil.
Because oil prices all time low but market prices still $1.1-1.30.
The cost of petrol is in the transportation and etc. The fixed component including excise which will be indexed in the future.
I have been considering a hyrid car so I have being doing some research.
So I am going to buy a hybrid not to support Lynas but to hedge against paying for too much fuel.
Some people will move to full EVs for similar reasons to go off the grid to avoid paying for electricity and maintaining aging assets which adds to the cost base.
Also ehen people go off grud in the future on full EV vehicles. Imagine all the savings.
