Without any knowledge of batteries, I've been doing a bit of reading up for this societal change with EVs that is currently in the early stages.
There seems to be multiple technologies currently being researched and developed in this area. My current focus is on anodes - with the interest being in graphite vs silicon. I'm not interested in what their purpose is in the battery but I am hoping someone could give their opinion on the next 5-10 years on two technologies that use differing amounts graphite and silicon.
From what I can gather, silicon is a much better material to be used and is what some companies are using but there are issues with it.
Any insights/viewpoints on the likelihood of graphite anodes being made redundant due to these silicon anodes would be much appreciated and does it affect LYC in any way.
