I do agree with rivermore who said on the WPL thread : 27/09/16 Time: 07:44:08 Post #:19436363
“If you look at the latest BRU presentation, P20 have a chart outlining the backfill required for each LNG player in Nthn Aus. WPL have big shortfall starting 2021. I'm guessing they might go after BRU or try and buy Mitsu's out of the BRU JV. The lead time to find then hook in more offshore gas is too short for them now (but I'd say they will try and get Scarborough gas tied in hence that deal).”
I couldn't agree more, rivermore.
IMO WPL must have had some hard discussions with BRU or Mitsubishi already to share in the JV and the Commercialisation of the Canning with the huge TCF's of wet gas and billions of barrels of associated condensate right at their doorstep and much cheaper to produce than offshore.
As we know, Peter is a tough negotiator. So is Erik.
