I take my hat off to you - you are the type of person Australia needs more of - SERIOUSLY!
I totally agree that batteries are required with solar and wind generation and most other types of renewable energies.
What frustrates me on the AJM threads is that people question not only the financial viability of a solar and battery alternative to diesel generators for mine power supply, but say that due to load requirements for the start up of things like ball mills, batteries are not a technically viable solution.
I would have thought that not only Tesla's "Ludicrous" mode, but also the South Australian 50MW battery which can supply massive power within milliseconds suggest that batteries would be well capable of delivering the required start-up power.
I'd be interested if given your professional background, you have any view on that.
