I don't know why the big players are legally manipulating the share price during the capital raising time especially for SPP. It happens all the time, e.g. CSS, kept around 3.8-4c for a while despite of rise of the general markets, LNG @20c SPP, TIS @21c. Interestingly, a guy was put into jail because of manipulation of TIS sp.

The bots trading, IMO, is illegal, and should be banned. More manipulators should be penalised.

Man jailed after selling himself biomedical firm shares
    APN Newsdesk 13th Nov 2013 2:44 PM

A BRISBANE man will spend four months in prison after earning a two-year sentence for trying to manipulate the Australia Stock Exchange by selling himself shares.

Thai Quoc Tang, 58, pleaded guilty on Tuesday to charges of misleading the market in relation to Brisbane biomedical firm Tissue Therapies Limited.

Mr Tang traded the shares through 11 separate online accounts over 13 months as the sixth largest shareholder of the company.

He will pay a bond of $5000, and will be released in March but will be bound to keep up good behaviour for three years.
