EQ Resources owns (100%) of the Mt Carbine tungsten mine, with a resource of 20.3Mt @ 0.32% WO3 to JORC Code (2012) standards, containing 6.5million metric tonne units (million mtu) of tungsten trioxide (WO3) and exploration upside. Mt Carbine operated over 13 years to 1987, producing 150,000mtu per year of tungsten trioxide (WO3), located 50km north of Mareeba, north Queensland. German-headquartered metals producer/recycler CRONIMET Group has a 50/50 JV and offtake agreement for a 12Mt stockpile at 0.075% WO3, with EQR now processing up to 1Mtpy. Two TOMRA X-ray transmission (XRT) ore sorters operate ahead of conventional gravity processing. EQR is optimising this process circuit, which will process higher grade open pit ore (0.32% cf 0.075% stockpile). World supply is dominated by China (+80%). Sovereign supply of critical minerals is now an issue. The Federal government has provided a A$6m grant to complete funding for Phase 2, including the re-commencement of open pit mining. Development, ongoing operations and commodity price remain a risk. We initiate with a Speculative Buy rating and 12-month target price of A$0.066.
