great chart .......it brings to memory the story of Canada's dominance in the tungsten space - They had a great producer in Cantung and when it reached LOM, they were going to focus on Mactung.
Additionally the Sisson project was going to be geared up into production.....
But, all of them got caught up in environmental, community and indigenous issues
Now Canada is not even a blip on the radar
Thank god our EQR doesnt have any of those problems .....management has handled these issues well.
They have won environmental awards, formed an alliance with the adjacent Brooklyn Wildlife Sanctuary (I think this might have been a bit frosty in the beginning), and have a strong support base, and profile, in the nearby Mareeba township where much of their employees are from.
This in itself is a great achievement and has involved a lot of work which often goes unnoticed - everyone gets hung up on production numbers and revenues and so on, but beavering away behind the scenes are these cemented and strategic efforts to ensure that when we get into the pit (or UG) that mininig, pure mining, can proceed at pace without any left field surprises
And we are now at that stage of just about getting into the pit and we have no animosity with anyone - nothing but well executed harmony - a great backdrop to proceed full steam ahead.
